Open Sky Artworks is an artist management, promotion and production company. We provide recording, mixing and mastering services as well as event production. Currently operating in the NYC and Gulf Coast Area in the United States, OSA offers consulting services for up and coming entertainers and entrepreneurs while providing marketing/promotion for music/video releases, live events and web presence. OSA was founded in 2006 by Genesis Be, a young entrepreneur from Biloxi, MS. After Hurricane Katrina devastated her hometown, Genesis Be created O.S.A. initially to give exposure and marketing services to artists in the area who had lost their original fanbase due to the destruction of the storm. After moving to New York in 2007 to attend NYU’s prestigious Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music, Genesis Be was exposed to business connects, entrepreneurship training, and a highly competitive atmosphere of the New York entertainment industry. All of these factors led to the building of the OSA power team consisting of mainly young female college graduates who own their own companies (see Affiliates section). It is with this network that OSA has maneuvered successfully among different industry sectors within New York. The Open Sky Artworks Team harbors individual industry experience that has aided in making OSA a known brand in the Entertainment / Social Entrepreneurship arena. With the help of New York University, The Catherine B. Reynolds Foundation, and the Hip Hop Education Center, OSA has recently launched the Strive Till I Rise Campaign, which empowers and educates youth using entertainment and workshops.
